All About Me

Hi Everyone! Welcome to my first grade blog. Here is just a little bit about me:
This is my eighth year of teaching first grade and I love it! I taught 3 years at a private school and this is my fifth year at Twin Ridge. I've wanted to be a teacher since I was in the second grade!
I have a mom and dad who live in Pennsylvania, which is where I am from. I also have 3 older brothers. I love to read and to teach kids how to read. I also enjoy playing sports. I've played volleyball, soccer, basketball, and lacrosse. I just ran the Army 10-miler in D.C. What a great experience that was! I am running the Baltimore Marathon Relay too. I also enjoy cooking and gardening.
I attended Mount Saint Mary's University to get my degree in education and went on to get my graduate degree as a reading specialist from Loyola College in Maryland. I have written curriculum for Frederick County for the past 5 years and am also a New Teacher Consultant. Thanks for visiting the blog!
